Our constant engagement with scientific research and technological development laid the foundations of Costruzioni Solari
and still is our core competence, running our business and driving our products and services to the technological frontier
through continuous innovation.
Listed below are the main projects we are currently involved in:
SOLAR
It’s the project of a public-private laboratory for the innovative technologies development in the field of distributed generation
from solar source. SOLAR is financed by Italian Ministery of Education University and Research.
Costruzioni Solari collaborates with many italian enterprises and research centers such as: Ansaldo spa,
CNR-IMM (Lecce), COG srl, Politecnico di Bari - DEE, Università del Salento - DIIM, SHAP spa, STC srl,
TCT srl, Turboden srl.
The research project moves from the creation of a laboratory-centre specialized in innovative solutions for high temperature solar
plants, for producing power directly, through thermodynamic cycles, and indirectly, through thermochemical processes
producing hydrogen-rich fossil fuels.
MIPER (Innovative Materials and Methodologies for Renewable Energy Products)
It’s a Strategic Regional Project, PS_095, resulting from aan agreement between Puglia Region and European Union.
Costruzioni Solari participates along with many enterprises and research centers as: Processi Speciali, Jonica Impianti, DAI
Optical Industries, ENEA research center of Brindisi, University of Salento and Polytechnic University of Bari. The research project
focuses on the development of materials and manufacturing processes, and innovative design for structural components of a composite
material. The first target is on renewable energy typical products, like small size generatori eolici wind generators and small
thermal solar devices.
BioSolESCo (Biomass Solar Energy Service Company)
It’s a project financed by European Union in the frame of Intelligent Energy Europe program. Costruzioni Solari collaborates with
many enterprises and research centers working in Europe, such as: North Karelia University of Applied Sciences - Finland, CRES
(Centre for Renewable Energy Sources – Greece, Mediterranea Energia Srl - Italy, Uniconfort - Italy, EIHP (Energy Institute of
Hrvoje Požar) - Croatia, HEP ESCO Ltd - Croatia, Erato Holding Plc - Bulgaria, TV Energy - England, University of Reading -
England, S.O.L.I.D. - Austria, WIP Renewable Energies - Germany. BioSolESCo aims at facilitating the ESCOs
development for thermal energy supply from biomass and/or solar thermal in Europe, analizyng any obstacle to this approach
and all the success stories found in Europe.
Nanotechnologies in Applications of medium-temperature Solar Captation
It’s a POR Puglia 2007-2013 where Costruzioni Solari is the lead company, with the collaboration of ENEA research centre of Trisaia
and Brindisi and the SALENTEC university spin off. The research project purpose is the Parabolic Trough Collectors optimization,
by studying and setting up innovative materials for thermal insulation and spectrally selective films deposited through sputtering
technique.
Moreover, the project aims at optimizing thermal imaging cameras through fluid dynamics studies.
Study on small size Non-focusing Systems of Thermal Solar Energy Captation and Concentration
Recently completed, this research was finaced within the MIUR project. The program deals with a research on concentration
solar energy plants, of fixed and low-maintenance type. Our goal was to collect knowledge for building small plants, virtually
maintenance-free, able to generate steam in useful conditions of pressure and temperature for domestic and industrial purposes.
